Wiltshire Council Updates: MyWilts app; Bus fare changes from January 2025; Waste Collection & Recycling

MyWilts app

Wiltshire Council have updated the MyWilts app with some new features and a new look and feel.

The MyWilts app is the quickest way for you to report issues to us, including highways defects, weather emergencies, fly-tipping and overgrown vegetation.

If you have automatic updates turned off, simply visit the App Store for Apple devices or the Google Store for Android devices to initiate the update.

You can continue to use your previous details to login and report issues. Cases raised in the previous version of the app can still be viewed.

The update improves the user experience and provides some new functionality, with the facility to deploy further improvements and new features in the future.

This is the first major redevelopment of the MyWilts app and includes:

  • Improved user interface, better navigation and improved look and feel
  • Improved ‘cases’ section to easily view and manage reported cases in one place
  • Ability to save partially complete case submissions as draft, even when offline
  • Map view of all cases
  • Improved mapping and offline reporting
  • Improved image upload feature
  • Bug fixes
  • Improved design of several highways forms

If you do not have a smartphone that can support the app or do not wish to use your phone, the MyWilts online reporting webpage is still available.

Bus fare changes from January 2025

Due to updates in the Government’s fare cap scheme, most bus fares will increase from 1 January 2025, but fares will still be capped.

The maximum fare for a single journey will be capped at £3.

Changes to waste collections over the festive period

Waste, recycling and garden waste collection dates have changed over the festive period.

There will be no waste or recycling collections on New Year’s Day. If this is your collection date, please leave your bins out and they will be collected the following day.

Garden waste collections will resume on Thursday 9 January, starting with collections which would normally have taken place on Wednesday 8 January. As a result, your normal collection day will be delayed by one day.

Want some tips to reduce waste? We have useful information on our website.
**Updated garden waste collection dates for 9, 10 January**

The garden waste collection dates for Thursday 9 and Friday 10 January have been corrected on the table. You can also check your collection date by entering your address at: Waste collection calendar – Wiltshire Council

Household Recycling Centres opening times

The opening times of our Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) have changed over Christmas and New Year.
